ACADEMIC PATHWAY

ATHE LEVEL 5 : EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER

The ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Computing is a 120-credit Ofqual regulated qualification. It provides the core knowledge, understanding and skills to support learners planning to further their studies in computing. It is equivalent to the second year of a degree program in computing and learners may progress into employment in the sector or into the final year of a bachelor’s degree.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry to the qualification will be through a centre interview, and learners will be expected to hold the following:

• Age: 19 +;

• Prior study in computing or related subjects at level 4 or above;

• A level 4 qualification, for example an ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Computing;

• Other equivalent international qualification;
